Featured Shelter: PAWS Chicago
This week amidst all the financial news there was another story about the affect foreclosures are having on families and their pets. In response to the current crises, PAWS Chicago, a no kill shelter, has launched two new programs. Thank you PAWS Chicago and kuddos!!!

Rant: Euthanasia of Healthy Animals

"The American Humane Association's Getting to Zero® Initiative is a national undertaking based on the profound belief that, within our lifetime, American society can reduce to zero the number of healthy or treatable dogs, cats and other companion animals that are euthanized in animal care and control facilities."
Please follow the link above and sign the petition to address euthanasia! Let us strive to make all of our shelters NO KILL shelters. It is estimated between 4 to 6 million healthy animals are euthanized every YEAR. This is so sad and such a waste.
